We just got the announcement of government measures to contain the pandemic, but fortunately there is no lack of examples of those who rethink and relaunch activities.
IED Avant Défilé 2020 is a permanent virtual exhibition of the 16 best thesis projects IED Moda Milano, the training and research institute in the disciplines of Fashion and Visual Arts. An interactive showcase for 18 new graduates involved in an immersve virtual exhibition, which can be visited by downloading the related app in Android and iOS versions, for the benefit of a much wider and transversal audience than that of professionals and stakeholders in the sector usually involved in a fashion show.
The IED Avant Défilé app is created by Unreal Engine in collaboration with the Milanese digital art studio Streamcolors: a path in 16 “islands”, each corresponding to a project / designer; each island then gives access to a room in the room, in which to experiment the creative process of each designer: a video teaser introduces the project concept, the full video explains all details, while sketches, renderings (and in some 3D model cases) exhibited in the gallery give an idea of its practical translation.
