The new role brings sales responsibility for strategic, vertical and regional customers with the aim of strengthening NEC’s presence in the rapidly expanding digital display market.
NEC Display Solutions has appointed Simon Jackson as Senior Vice President of Sales EMEA, consistent with the ambitious business strategies in this important area. Jackson has been working for more than two decades in NEC and in the new role he will lead the entire sales team of the company, which includes regional teams and those dedicated to strategic and vertical customers.
Evidently, the new role of EMEA’s Senior Vice President for Sales expresses the remarkable growth of NEC in this region, bringing together the role of VP Vertical and strategic Sales with that of VP Regional Sales. The task of Simon Jackson will therefore be to tactically guide the company’s strategy on all vertical markets and on the markets of every nation in the EMEA region.
Jackson is well known within the market and was recently appointed head of the Digital Signage Organization (DSO) board, which represents an important voice within the European digital signage industry by offering a renowned technology sharing forum in the field of signage in every sector and application.
The President and CEO of NEC Display Solutions Europe, Bernd Eberhardt, commented on the appointment: “Simon Jackson was a natural choice to lead our new, unified sales team. In all these years, NEC has fully demonstrated the qualities of leadership that this important new role requires.
