Creativity, experiences and technological skills, integrated in a valid networking moment, open to all, to affirm the role of women in this sector deeply shaken by the pandemic. This is the heart and soul of the first She Knows Tech Summit (5th-8th March), organised by the women’s collective of the same name SKT. Musicians, producers, engineers, songwriters, artists and creatives from all over the world have come together virtually to inspire new destinations. Four days of workshops and debates to share a relaunch based on the multifaceted skills of many professionals in the music sector.
“Being noticed and having equal opportunities on the market are the basis for realising ones dreams.” Comments Maria Martikainen, co-owner of Genelec, one of the supporters of the initiative. “Equality and training are extremely important to us, this collaboration therefore arises in a natural way. I encourage all girls and women to discover every aspect of music technology and to find their way into the many professionals that animate this sector.”
