Matrox takes centre stage at Smart Building Expo 2019
During the Smart Building Expo 2019 integration trade show (November 13-15, at FieraMilano in Rho), at booth K8 in hall 6, 3G Electronics will showcase the technological capabilities of Matrox Graphics, demonstrating in person the products of the professional AV line and letting visitors appreciate the latest news from this Canadian company, such as Matrox QuadHead2Go, the advanced multi-monitor controller for flexible video wall management, capable of generating four video streams from a single source.
Also at Smart Building Expo, the company will demonstrate the efficiency of a working environment based entirely on Matrox products, creating a state-of-the-art Control Room Over IP system that maximises performance and simplifies operational management. This Matrox ecosystem designed for Control Room Over IP will feature the Matrox Mura IPX-O, Matrox Maevex 6150, and Matrox Extio 3 RX/TX.
Matrox Mura IPX is the series of professional video cards that redefines the future of video walls. Designed for unprecedented performance, maximum image quality, and extreme scalability, the Mura IPX series of input/output cards offers high flexibility and universal support for both digital (HDMI and Display Port) and IP (encode & decode) video input signals. Matrox Mura IPX-O, in particular, is a decode and display card capable of receiving multiple H.264 streams of up to 4K resolution over the network, and then displaying them via four DisplayPort outputs up to 4K. The capture cards, equipped with HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, can compress and decompress multiple streams of H.264 video up to 4K resolution at 60 fps.
The Matrox Maevex IP video distribution system consists of a pair of encoders/decoders capable of simultaneously capturing, extending, and recording 1080p60/4K video and audio over a standard IP network. Based on a dedicated H.264 encoding/decoding platform, the series offers an excellent quality video extension system, with excellent price-performance ratio, on standard LAN connectivity even at low bit rates, in case of limited bandwidth.
Matrox Extio 3 is the world’s first point-to-point KVM Over IP (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) extension solution that allows you to separate keyboard, mouse, USB 2.0, and audio devices over a Gigabit network with support for 4Kp60 or quad 1080p60 4:4:4 resolutions.
Digital Signage Area
There will also be a Digital Signage area at the stand, where you can see a 4-screen video wall that can be managed with flexibility from a single source, thanks to the innovative Matrox QuadHead2Go. The video streams will be generated by BrightSign players, renown for their extreme reliability and ruggedness in terms of hardware and operating system.
The BrightSign players will be controlled by WallSign, a cloud-based CMS solution for Digital Signage designed to address the most advanced marketing requirements, managing a large amount of content across a network of displays. The platform includes all the features required in the retail environment: easy and intuitive management of multimedia files (video, images, social media, weather, news), multiple users, advanced logging, tags, groups, configuration of advanced program scheduling, multi-zone layout, support for professional players and offline operation without remote connectivity.
If system integration and system evolution are the cornerstones of the Smart Building Expo, the presence of 3G Electronics is in perfect harmony with the spirit of the Milan exhibition, which ranges from connectivity in the strict sense of the word to integration with new electrical systems, and from interaction-based, on-demand and high definition AV entertainment to automation for energy efficiency.
