The FIR filtering is at the core of the proposals of Marani, an Italian company based in China since 2004 which markets its products throughout South-East Asia, and with interesting growth prospects for 2017
Some might say that is the obvious solution, but the ideas are not easy nor to have neither to be realized. Marani’s idea is simple and effective: to give everyone the ability of the FIR filter (Finite Impulse Response), always very expensive and “relegated” to very high-end machines, so prohibitive for intermediate users.
In particular, a specific set of Marani’s Audio Management System are specially implemented to make FIR filtering, with the Wizard process, which allows to realize a real-time measurement systems, simultaneously considering a phase response and analyzing the response with the same machines. In practice, in digital amplifiers it’s possible to implement complex and usually expensive processes of analysis.
Marani’s devices are available in different I/O configurations: 2×4, 2×6, 3×6, 4×4 and 4×8 are the “standard sizes” used in professional field, all present in Marani’s list.
Even Marani, like many Italian companies operating in China, operates as ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), making its technology available to companies that want to use it on the market. At PL+S, in addition to implementations for the FIR filtering, they were also presented new ultra flexible advanced systems, amplifiers for active speakers with new modules that offer wi-fi, USB connection, DSP with embedded FIR processes and FIR on each output for crossover. It can also install expansion cards for communication with Dante, Ravenna, bluetooth. Also available AVB interfaces for specific applications.
