The new range of LG 4K projectors also reaches the European market, with the official presentation at IFA 2019 (6-11 September)
LG presents in Europe these days, at IFA 2019, its new lineup of projectors designed to offer an improved home cinema experience. Versatile and intelligent solutions, these new LG projectors are able to offer very sharp and large images. These are two models: HU85L is LG’s first 4K Ultra HD laser projector with Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology; the HU70L model is instead a 4K Ultra HD LED projector. Both models will also be available on the European market starting next month.
Respectively based on LG’s laser and LED technologies, both 4K Ultra HD models offer remarkable visual experiences and high color accuracy, eliminating problems such as rainbow effect, clouding and color distortion.
Already awarded with numerous awards, including the CES Innovation Award 2019, the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award, the HU85L uses a three-channel laser system, with LG’s Wheel-less technology, to generate colors with individual laser light sources. This configuration makes it possible to cover 97% of the color space of the DCI-P3 and up to 12-bit color processing for detailed images up to a brightness of 2.700 ANSI lumens.
Thanks to UST technology, the LG HU85L projector can be positioned just 5,6 centimeters from the wall to project a 90-inch diagonal image or 18 centimeters away to reproduce a 120-inch image.
The HU70L projector, with a more compact design, is designed to build very enveloping home theater experiences up to a diagonal of 140-inches, with a brightness of 1.500 ANSI lumens. The projector uses four LEDs to generate the colors red, green and blue, with the addition of the fourth LED that increases the brightness, contrast and vividness of the colors compared to conventional LED projectors, dynamically adjusting the levels of green. In addition, the HDR10 support allows deeper blacks and brighter colors, while the TruMotion technology improves the realism of the images, making the movements on the screen more fluid and natural. Finally, the included six-phase 4K upscaler allows you to view 4K Full HD content.
Both CineBeam projectors (previewed in Europe at IFA 2019, at the LG stand in Hall 18) offer different connectivity options, including USB, HDMI, Ethernet and wireless mirroring (Android and iOS). Moreover, thanks to LG’s webOS 4.5, users can directly access the most popular streaming applications, including Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and more.
