Six LG Ultra HD monitor models have obtained certification for combined use with Cisco business systems: a step ahead for the workplace of the future, increasingly imagined by architects and systems integrators.
“With the evolution of working habits, the need to communicate and share effectively has become crucial for companies. The integration of six certified LG models with dual screen functionality with video conferencing devices from Cisco Spark Room Kit and Cisco Spark Room Kit Plus is capable of offering turnkey video conferencing solutions,” said Nicola Micali, Business Solutions Product & Marketing Manager of LG, who perfectly summarized the news.
The certification of full compatibility with Cisco business systems opens new and very interesting scenarios to several LG products of the Business Solutions division. First of all, LG and Cisco are both very stable and well-known businesses in the market: innovative solutions are bound to grow from the union of some of their strong points, in this case for applications such as video conferences and content distribution and presentation. The highlights of this collaboration include various exclusive functions such as the improved color rendering for video formats and presentations, the automatic turning on or off of the monitor when used in the video conference system, automatic integration and no-touch configuration, in addition to automatic switch input for incoming calls and low-latency recording, which avoids synchronization problems.
Six Ultra HD 4K monitors for integrated solutions
LG’s certified and integrated models are the Ultra HD 4K 49UH5C, 55UH5C, 65UH5C, 75UH5C, 86UH5C and 98LS95D monitors, which range from 49” to 98” and are able to adapt to any and every need for presentations in any environment. All models are equipped with IPS technology, which allows for accurate viewing of content with a wide viewing angle, and boast guaranteed 24/7 operation, with a brightness equal to 500nit. 4K is the final touch: definition that is four times superior to Full HD, it offers brilliant colors and highly-detailed pictures.
Furthermore, the certified monitors automatically configure themselves with the Cisco Spark Room kit from the very first use, ensuring complete support for all advanced functions via the Cisco Touch 10 controller, whether for sharing from a desktop or wireless source, streaming a video presentation, live content or simple one-on-one conversations. Nicola Micali can thus rightly conclude: “This complete integration between Cisco products is an additional example of the potential and versatility of LG professional displays, capable of fully satisfying all the needs of the business market in various professional sectors.”
After the announcement of the compatibility between LG and Cisco, the first litmus test has already followed, in occasion of the 2018 edition of Cisco Partner Experience, an event dedicated to Cisco’s partners and an opportunity to share new technological offerings and innovations, organized in Genoa in mid-May. At the Cisco and LG booth, some certified UH5C Monitors were displayed with the Cisco Spark Room Kit solution, with the dual aim of illustrating the strengths of the product “on the field” and of providing some examples of combined usage. LG Electronics, technical sponsor of the event, displayed another 15 UH5C devices in the common areas of the large booth. The panorama of all the LG-Cisco combined solutions offered to visitors was broad and appreciated.
