Important news from Kramer: the launch of the new 4K60 4: 4: 4 solutions for large video walls, able to make crucial communications fast, simple and secure, building effective and intuitive audiovisual experiences.
Kramer announced the launch of its VW-9 and VW-16 video wall drivers, new all-inclusive video wall processors that simplify large-scale video wall deployment by eliminating the need for a single unit for each screen or complex AV infrastructures. All of this contributes to significantly reduce costs (TCO) for large video wall installations, also in consideration that the drivers are ideal for a wide range of applications in the corporate, hospitality, transport, entertainment, government and military sectors.
The VW-9 driver, designed for 3×3 video walls, has ten outputs, and has all the flexibility to handle installations with up to ten identical displays, as well as any 5×2 configurations. The VW-16 model, with its sixteen outputs, handles even larger video walls, up to sixteen displays. Both drivers feature 4K60 4: 4: 4 video processing and support audio input switching and de-embedding. Installable in any square, rectangular or elongated configuration, they are suitable for a variety of applications, from airport signage to shopping malls to command and control centers and more.
One feature to emphasize are the redundant power supplies for uninterrupted operation, which meet the most stringent safety requirements, even for mission-critical applications such as control rooms, air and ground traffic management and medical installations. The video signal is processed without compression, ensuring the highest possible image quality. In addition, sub-millisecond latency enables real-time viewing, ideal for ultra-delay-sensitive applications such as presentations and live events.
In short, the purpose of the VW-9 and VW-16 drivers is to make the setup and management of videowall installations quick and easy. With a choice of Ethernet and RS-232/422/485 control interfaces, a very intuitive front panel, and various video and audio processing options, the processors are easy to configure and manage for anyone, even without specific technical training. Shai Yaniv, Kramer’s VP Products & Solutions, commented: “Our VW-9 and VW-16 video wall drivers are designed to provide intuitive and impactful solutions for large-scale video walls, in various shapes and sizes, simple and cheap to set up and use. The addition of drivers to our product portfolio completes the Kramer ecosystem for video walls and continues to improve the audiovisual experience of our customers.”
