The first of a series of four workshops, organized by Prase Media Technologies, was held last month at Cinisello Balsamo
The series of meetings is titled “Media Application Workshops”, and has started with a day dedicated to video streaming and digital signage solutions: an interesting historical and technical overview that has focused on the state of art of these technologies.
The event, which lasted the entire day of April 7th, was built on a number of interventions. After an introduction to the story and evolution of digital signage by Prase, the interesting Tripleplay software solutions were presented: TripleSign, for Digital Signage; Triple CMS, Content Management Software Module; TripleTouch, touch screen solution.
So, Roberto Vogliolo – CEO and founder of Dooh.it – spoke about the relationship between content and distribution channels, which has reflected on Digital Signage as a varied and varied discipline that involves many types of customers and, therefore, products and technologies.
Isacco Petrucci of Epson has talked about projection solutions for unconventional communication, when the choice of projection is more appropriate than monitor to create a particular immersive effect.
Also interesting, finally, the intervention of Edoardo Stambazzi, Sales Manager of Philips, focusing on the three main areas of the Philips business unit for displays: Healthcare TV, Hospitality TV and Signage Solutions. Particularly challenging the analysis of the hospitality market, which has evolved over the years, thanks in particular to the well-established content distribution technologies (eg Smart TV on IP). Overall, it was a very rich and well organized “polyphonic” day, a starting point for further reflection and the right opening for this series of workshops.
