The new ISE headquarters in Barcelona will host a series of keynotes, mapping projections and immersive installations of the highest level that harness the power of AV technology to create memorable experiences. In short, ISE 2022 in Barcelona promises to be a large “moving fresco” on the best AV technologies!
The appointment with ISE 2022 (Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, 10-13 May 2022) is approaching, and as an appetizer, here is the creative program designed to emphasize the power of professional AV. Integrated Systems Europe, in fact, has announced a series of activities designed to highlight creativity and technical ability and to show, even in the urban environment of Barcelona, the power of AV. In particular, three projects will show visitors how, when integrated into a collaborative solution, the professional AV industry helps deliver extraordinarily engaging experiences.
The opening Keynote, scheduled for May 10, will be entrusted to Refik Anadol, and will be titled “In the Mind of Gaudí”. Media artist and pioneer in the aesthetics of data and artificial intelligence, Refik Anadol will offer radical visualizations of digitized memories and explain how to expand the possibilities of architecture, narrative and the body in motion. “In the Mind of Gaudí” is an immersive installation inspired by the famous Casa Batlló and the work of Antoni Gaudí, and will show the different creative abilities of the combination of digital image, big data and artificial intelligence by exploring new ways to approach digital art to the general public.
In connection with the opening Keynote, a special event will take place on the facade of Casa Batlló on the evening of Saturday 7 May, following the collaboration between Refik Anadol, OFFF Barcelona – a festival of creativity, art and digital design – and ISE 2022. This event, on the unique facade that the great Gaudí gave to Casa Batlló, will mark a bridge between two milestones in the digital arts and the AV sector.
The Keynote scheduled for May 11 will be held by Alan Greenberg: “Next Generation Immersive Entertainment”. CEO and co-founder of Illuminarium, Alan Greenberg heads a revolutionary experiential entertainment company created by world leaders in film immersion, interactive content and theatrical design. Illuminarium transports its audience through unparalleled sensory experiences, allowing visitors to see, hear, feel, smell and even interact with transformative and cutting-edge technologies. On this basis, Greenberg will explore the technical challenges of the next generation of immersive entertainment. Still as regards the events, do not miss I RISE at Plaça d’Espanya: created and produced by Flaix Studio, scheduled every evening at 21:00 from Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 May, this captivating projection in mapping on a curvilinear surface explores the themes of hope, regeneration and renewal, particularly suited to reflecting the moment the professional AV industry is going through as it seeks to return to more normal ways of working after the upheaval caused by the pandemic.
Finally, to complete this small preview, ISE Immersive Art Experience is scheduled in Hall 2 from 10 to 13 May. It’s a unique artistic installation, the result of the collaboration between ISE and Exhibition Hub, which will offer visitors a virtual reality experience that combines different immersive artistic experiences, iconic masterpieces by artists such as Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Frida Kahlo and Gustav Klimt. The light and music show was created with support from AED Display, AV Stumpfl, AV-Drop/Showtex, Barco, Fluge, LANG and more.
Integrated Systems Events CEO Mike Blackman explained: “ISE embodies creativity, innovation, and technology and I am really excited that we have put together a series of stunning experiences for this, our first big event at our new home in Barcelona. These initiatives perfectly illustrate the impact and power that the professional AV industry has to create truly memorable experiences and kickstart connections to deliver business benefit.”
