NSG Group launches on the market a new generation of transparent screens for touch screen applications
Pilkington MirroView is one of the last vanguardes of the world of glass. It is a clear float glass on which a high-reflecting coating is deposited, neutral-colored and extremely resistant. It is a non conductive coating (dielectric) and it allows to use the glass in capacitive sensing technology applications for touch screen (Projected Capacitive Touch screen). This range of products is destined to be installed ahead of a flat screen, like a TV or a touch screen, indeed.
If placed in front of a video source, when the device is off, Pilkington MirroView maintains a mirror look, hiding the screen. When the screen is on, the brightness of the image on the screen is easily visible and the specular image previously reflected disappears. The improved coverage is endowed with a very smooth surface for an excellent taxtile experience, and offers a neutral color rendering in reflection. Its pyrolytic coverage, extremely resistant, does not degrade in time and confers to the product an almost unlimited duration.
The range is divided in two versions: Pilkington MirroView, projected for situations with reduced ambient light like bathrooms, bars, etc, where it offer a lighting transmission of 22% and a coating-side reflection of 66%, and Pilkington MirroView 50/50, that, for the evolution of the product, is planned for applications in high-brightness environments, like shops, shopping malls, airport and railway transit areas, etc., and it offers a light transmission of 37% and a coating-side reflection of 50%. Aside from being adapted for traditional mirror applications, both products are also compatible for the Smart Mirrors production.
