Aten’s stand at IBC 2017, fully in line with the general layout of the fair, displayed their 4K video signal distribution solutions aimed at video studios and production rooms.
The new KVM 4K matrix systems, which use the IP network and are ideal for managing work and videowall stations, were presented during the fair. Specifically, the KE8952 won the Best of Show 2017 recognition for the Installation category. This solution allows you to remotely access computers connected to the KVM installation through the network with full support for UHD video. Inside the stand, it was possible to attend two interactive sessions in order to better understand how to use Aten products for the management of video walls, thanks in part to the simulation of a control room in 4K.
Among the products displayed we found the VM3200, a 32×32 video matrix with features such as redundant power supply with hot-swappable I/O boards, making it ideal for managing videowalls, control rooms, assistance and surveillance services, and all applications that require flexibility and speed in A/V routing.
The VK2100 was also present, which, along with the VK6000 (Aten Configurator Software) and the Control System App, make up the ATEN Control System. The VK2100 is the primary controller that the VK6000 connects to for system configuration. The Control System App, compatible with iOS, Android and Windows Mobile, allows you to control all the hardware devices present in the rooms of the installation, independently of where they are found. Aten also displayed the KL1116VN, a Dual Rail over IP KVM switch with sixteen ports that permits local and remote management through the use of a designated web-based interface. This solution allows administrators to have a structure that lets them manage the servers and data centers remotely, minimizing operation times and optimizing costs.
