Leading Technologies is today one of the largest market realities in our country, able to offer itself not only as a distributor for Italy of important brands, but also as a supplier of modular LED screens branded Lightbeam. Its main “weapons” are the technical competence and experience, which allow the company to offer, for several years, a “turnkey” service of design, installation and sale, establishing a synergy with the customer that goes often beyond the normal customer-supplier relationship, and ensuring pre- and post-sales assistance and consultancy for any type of project.
The Lightbeam brand was born in 2008 from the forty-year experience of Leading Technologies, a company active on the market since 1978, one of the major companies operating in the Italian audio, video and professional lighting scene. Starting in the world of professional audio, Leading Technologies has evolved following the demands and needs of the market, expanding its presence and knowledge to sectors such as video, lighting and control systems, in compliance with a corporate mission which consists in researching best and most innovative technologies available on the market, so as to be able to provide complete integrated solutions for every need.
Leading Technologies created the Lightbeam brand to exclusively market imported and/or assembled OEM products relating to the lighting product categories, and in particular LED screens. At the headquarters in Monza it’s possible to find technicians capable of providing qualified consultancy as well as a design office equipped with complete and advanced equipment, coordinated by a group of specialized engineers. The company also has a large area (about 300 sqm) used for tests and demonstrations, in order to allow customers to experience the quality and potential of the products offered, whether it’s LED advertising screens, LED wall screens or videowall monitor systems. Lightbeam also organizes training courses both at its headquarters and on the Italian territory.
From a technological point of view, Leading Technologies has always focused on innovation and attention to design. An important example is the study of the Rai’s TG1, equipped with a curved SLIM LED screen without ventilation. As for the mechanical customization, however, the most interesting example is the design of the promenade of the Bellissima and Meraviglia ships of MSC: 96 meters long, 6 wide for a total of almost 500 square meters of LEDwall with a 3,91 mm pitch, whose metal structure is designed and made to measure.
In February 2020, the Lightbeam brand was presented at the ISE, in its latest edition in Amsterdam. The goal of Leading Technologies, in the coming years, is to bring Lightbeam also to the foreign market, for a coverage of European level.
To conclude this brief overview, take a look at the major innovations presented this year, which are summarized in screens with pitches of 1,2 and 0,9 mm, both with front maintenance and equipped with TV drivers. Each panel measures 660 x 337,5mm, with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The new transparent modules, calibrated according to need, are also very interesting.
Finally, a mention also to the portfolio of this interesting company, which includes national and international projects, both for direct customers and for the rental world. From television studios of a certain importance (Tg1, Tg2, Porta a Porta, Sanremo Festival, etc.) to sales points (Prada, Just Cavalli, Tezenis, M-Collection, etc.), passing through cruise ships, pavilions of international trade fairs and prestigious buildings, the Lightbeam brand is highly regarded for the supply of LED panels in the scenographic, architectural and commercial sectors.
