“Elementary… Watson!” IBM and Ricoh offer new interactive whiteboards

The business meetings are changing, thanks to interactive whiteboards that integrate Watson cognitive technologies. The revolution comes from IBM and Ricoh, which launch a new interactive whiteboard based on IBM Watson vocal cognitive technologies
It’s called “Intelligent Workplace Solution” the new proposal that integrates IBM Watson IoT and Ricoh interactive whiteboards to transform the team collaboration through new intuitive features that can be accessed using voice commands. Watson becomes an active participant in the meetings using tools that real-time guide the meeting and help to more effectively collaborate. This solution, in short, aims to actively support people attending the meeting, offering voice control, ability to take notes and translation of content in different languages. Ricoh will integrate the new solution as part of its service for business collaboration. Similarly, IBM provides for the future launch of new advanced and “smart” functionality for meeting support. Among the main features of the new cognitive whiteboards, first of all the simplified voice commands: the meeting participants, present or remotely connected, can be easily control the contents on the screen, including the advancement of the presentations. Also important is the recording of meetings attended by the simple passage of the badge. Finally, Intelligent Workplace Solutions is able to translate into other languages what was said during the meeting, viewing or transcribing texts on the screen. IBM will install over 80 Ricoh whiteboards in the new Watson IoT  headquarters in Monaco, Germany.
