ATEN has launched the new UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO, an innovative four-channel HDMI AV mixer designed specifically for live streaming, with recording and switching options
An all-in-one product that offers professional quality results with a minimum footprint and ease of use. In summary, ATEN UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO is a ‘live’ production studio designed to simplify streaming operations, allowing switching between four inputs, using an iPad instead of computer and control monitor for preview monitoring, that switches in time images and the organisation of the elements in the mixing program. In short, less complexity of the system and reduced wiring for an easy and performing live streaming.
Live streaming and recording
StreamLIVE UC9040 is aimed, in particular, at those who need to stream an AV signal in real time but do not want to compete with complicated equipment. On the contrary, ATEN offers a particularly immediate solution: to create a live stream, simply connect an iPad to the UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO console. The control interface will then be displayed on the touch screen of the tablet, which will effectively become the system controller. In short, it is a product that is easy to use and able to work with all existing equipment. Options such as quick setup, custom layout creation, and instant switching between video sources offer great flexibility, enabling professional AV setup and results.
That’s not all, because UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO is also created to enhance live and VOD (Video On Demand) experiences, supporting direct recording of a program and saving to an external hard drive connected via USB. The recording can be made in FHD quality with H.264 compression, perfect for any professional production and post-production workflow, as well as for ‘talking’ with the most popular audio-visual content management software. ATEN UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO makes it easy to create content and share it with a remote audience, as well as the production of a video on demand library that can be used with any content management system.
Custom layouts and dual streaming
Let’s now look at some of the most interesting features of the UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO, starting with the OnAir Pro application, which offers a choice of digital video effects and an integrated graphics editor. In essence, from a simple controller the iPad becomes a complete suite of video editing features. For example, you can freely cut and scale videos to create PiP (Picture-in-Picture) or PbP (Picture-by-Picture) layouts, as well as add png images and selected backgrounds from the iPad image archive, and create titles and superimposed logos. All with ease and in real time, even during filming.
Plus, having a built-in hardware encoder and streaming server, StreamLIVE PRO is able to simultaneously stream live on two platforms (including Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Livestream or other custom RTMP destinations) using a simple Ethernet connection, in full HD quality. It is therefore not necessary to dedicate a computer to the coding of the AV stream, saving in terms of costs and overall dimensions of the system.
So let’s conclude by reiterating what is perhaps the most important feature of UC9040 StreamLIVE PRO: the all-in-one design (the console weighs only 2.3 kg), which allows you to significantly reduce configuration times, significantly simplifying production procedures. StreamLIVE, in short, is a portable system that can be used anywhere, without having to resort to monitors and computers.
Everything is ready? Engine, action… let’s go in streaming!
