The annual Wildix Worldwide Convention was held on 12 January; we discover this multinational company that has designed and sells an interesting UC browser-based solution, as well as several VoIP products.
Wildix – headquarter in Tallinn, Estonia, but several offices in Europe and USA, and in Italy in Trento – has become known on the market in particular for Kite, a communication system based on the WebRTC protocol, developed by the company. So let’s start this brief overview from Kite: it allows you to create multi-conferences with chat, voice and video, in addition to sharing documents. All this without having to install any additional component to your computer, and with the possibility of recording the conversation (including video) for later use. The system is browser-based: the person invited to the conference receives a link via e-mail, clicks on it and the chat can start, even in high-definition video. So, what better way to enter the Wildix world?
We receive the link, click and appear on the monitor the smiling face of Cristiano Bellumat, Wildix Italian Sales Manager. We start by asking him for some clarifications: “Our technology” – he says – “brings to the market some peculiar aspects that differentiate it from the others. For us, at the center of the market, relationships are more than products. If I have to insist on something in particular, I place it on Secure by design: security, in our system, is already on board, without addition of firewall or encryption systems. Our telephone system and our UC environment are, so to speak, natively protected, and do not require training courses.”
Indeed, simplicity in technology is a very convincing topic for the vast public, which – let us remember – is not made up exclusively of technicians! But to get to know the Wildix world, the tenth edition of the Wildix Worldwide Convention, held in Venice on January 12th, is also an excellent tool: “This year” – confirms Cristiano Bellumat – “our partners were present from all over the world, with twelve countries involved and 471 people present, both resellers and system integrators. On this occasion, we described the growth of Wildix, notable both worldwide and on the Italian market, and continued in our training policy for entrepreneurs and system integrators who want to deal with our technology. With masterclasses and UNICOM courses, we are able to offer a real ‘manual’ for operational models, management of the technical area and marketing.”
And for the future, did the Convention draw any guidelines? “Let’s say that we are working for business intelligence solutions, and as regards training, this year we launched the masterclass, a training event dedicated to very few companies and system integrators, which offers practical action plans and operational models”, concludes Bellumat.
