In a square in Madrid, set up by Super 8 Media and run by two Christie Spyder X20, the biggest DOOH screen in Spain: 240 square meters!
Madrid is a city with many squares, much loved by citizens: from the imposing Plaza Mayor to the lovely Plaza de la Villa, passing through Plaza Callao, which now has the largest DOOH screen in Spain. It is a screen that occupies the entire facade of the FNAC library, for 240 square meters, and has been installed by Super 8 Media using two Christie Spyder X20, which use Scala as DOOH content reader. The screen thus achieves a visibility potential of 113 million people a year, including 19 million passengers from the nearby subway station.
Super 8 COO Paco Rodriguez Arnuero spoke about this colossal installation: “Christie Spyder’s strengths are on one hand the stability and on the other hand the ability to create different operating presets”, he said. “After configuring them, the operation is relatively simple. In addition, the switching capacity of the equipment allows you to view the content in high resolution without problems. Spyder adapts perfectly to the screen, ensuring that the content does not require resizing and avoiding problems with format adaptation.”
In a city like Madrid, where many activities take place outdoors, it seems that DOOH is perceived as a natural addition to urban scenography, and Christie Spyder can thus exalt all of its characteristics.
