With the new Pandoras Box version 6.4, Christie introduces its new 64-bit processing software, which significantly increases the performance of the current processing hardware
Christie Pandoras Box is a well-known family of hardware and software tools for real-time video processing and for controlling effects and projections in live events, projection mappings, image composition and interactive applications. The new version is now available for download on the Christie Pandoras Box website.
More flexible and faster, Pandoras Box 6.4 combines the latest processing technology with intuitive media and show control. In addition to several new features on a revised interface, the performance of all systems has been increased, with updated software that unlocks additional resources from the existing hardware server.
Running fully 64-bit, the rendering engine – the heart of the product – is now adapted to the operating system. Additional resources include system memory, parallel processing of multiple calculations and the revised QuickTime decoder, which offers faster decoding and includes hardware acceleration and support for additional codecs such as H.264, HEVC, ProRes and DNxHD.
By restyling the user interface, however, the software has become clearer and more structured, making it easier and faster to check important data or settings. Finally, additional icons offer the user direct access to key functions.
Christie Pandoras Box 6.4 it will be officially presented at the next ISE in Amsterdam, at the Christie stand (1—H70), where it will be used in conjunction with all the displays present.
