Coretronic, the industrial group to which Optoma belongs, concluded the acquisition of Calibre, a competence pole that offers consistent and strategic technology resources for the professional video projection market
A common denominator that makes Calibre’s products interesting – and which will now be an integral part of Optoma’s offer – is the value of switching time. This for all products in the Chameleon range stands at 0.25 seconds and is a benchmark for professional markets. Currently the catalog models are three: PS200, PS200T and PS300T. The Chameleon range of scalers/switchers is particularly appreciated in the professional video projection markets and in all areas where it is necessary to handle in one session and uniformly video and audio signals from multiple sources.
A common feature for all models is the 4K output that allows you to interact with the most modern projection systems on the market. In this regard, Fabio Avara, Italian manager of Optoma for the professional markets, commented: “I am very pleased with the acquisition of Calibre. For my company there are endless new opportunities, first and foremost, to be able to bring to the professional markets a series of monobrand solutions perfectly integrated and tailored to the specific needs of a large number of operators. From now on, Optoma’s trading partners can enjoy a portfolio of products to organize the best deals for professional meeting rooms, auditoriums, school environments and training.”
In addition, acquisition is beneficial for Optoma also in the future, namely research and development, which now embeds Calibre resources to build more targeted solutions for end users.
