InfoComm 2017, just held in Orlando, Florida, has been the ideal stage for the worldwide launch of three new Bose products
Bose’s latest news at the latest InfoComm. We start from the new EdgeMax ceiling speakers, combining top-level coverage patterns with the stylish aesthetics. Moreover, these new speakers are characterized by Bose’s proprietary PhaseGuide technology, which offers complete coverage and improved overall audio quality compared to the performance of traditional ceiling speakers. Designed for wall-mounted installation, EdgeMax project high-frequency sound in up to 20 meters wide environments using only perimeter fixing points and can cover an area that would require up to four conventional conic speakers. In short, is eliminated the need for traditional ceiling or wall-mounted speakers at the center of the room. Designed for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and residential environments, EdgeMax ceiling diffusers are available with two different horizontal coverage patterns. EdgeMax EM90 models offer a 90° nominal horizontal coverage and are designed for ceiling installation near the corners of the room. The EdgeMax EM180 models, however, feature a nominal horizontal coverage of 180° and are designed for wall-mounted ceiling installation in a central position, compared to the coverage areas.
Another important novelty of InfoComm is the new Panaray MSA12X modular speaker in steering array, designed for use in places of worship, auditoriums, museums, stations, conference rooms and theaters, featuring slim design and twelve 2.25” full-range transducers (with response from 75 Hz to 14 kHz) in line column array configuration. The MSA12X includes twelve internal power amplifiers (50 watts per channel, for a total nominal power of 600 watts) and an integrated DSP that allows digital control of the array.
The speaker also has Dante network connectivity and an analogue line input, and is available in black or white color finishes and can be painted.
Finally, here’s the new compact MB210 subwoofer, designed for background/foreground music and small size sound reinforcement systems that require a low frequency extension up to 37 Hz. The MB210 includes two 10” high-end hifi woofers, derived from the well-known Bose Professional Portable F1 subwoofer, in a Baltic birch laminate cabinet optimized for fixed installations. The MB210 is designed to work with Bose Professional speakers of FreeSpace, Panaray and RoomMatch Utilities families.
