Get back to school safely with BenQ ClassroomCare – Step 5: easily manage all your devices centrally. Having the latest generation displays is a great advantage, but you also need the right tools to manage them in the best way.
As part of our journey into the world of BenQ ClassroomCare, we want to talk to you today about a fundamental aspect: the centralised management of different monitors in systems of various sizes. BenQ DMS (Device Management Solution), combined with DMS Cloud and DMS Local and with the support of an intuitive interface, is BenQ’s device management solution, suitable for both single display and multiple device management. Thanks to its functions, BenQ DMS combines information and device management, as well as application control and OTA (Over-the-Air) updates to always keep displays at their maximum operational capability.
There are many advantages, starting from the remote control of the displays which can take place via Internet / browser, with DMS Cloud, or locally, via LAN, by installing DMS Local on your PC. DMS reduces energy consumption and allows you to install Android applications on one or more displays, thus saving school staff the repetitive manual installation work. Other features include the intuitive Dashboard, from which IT managers can monitor the daily operating data of installed devices, change settings and centrally control multiple displays, for example by setting the on and off times on various displays at the same time.
The OTA (Over-the-Air) Update deserves a separate discussion. It allows you to automatically install the latest firmware on the displays via the web interface (or via the dashboard), without requiring any access and without complicated manual procedures. When the displays are turned on, the system automatically detects available updates and activates the firmware update in a few simple steps.
Finally, and particularly usefully, when the displays are installed in different places, DMS Cloud also allows you to automatically download and install Android applications (APKs) on the displays through BenQ’s cloud server, in three simple steps:
- connect local devices to the DMS cloud (using the DMS mobile application, just scan the QR code and add the device to the cloud server);
- upload the APK to the cloud server via the app;
- distribute the APK to local devices, selecting those on which you want to intervene.
For a school that is increasingly technological, safe and smart, BenQ ClassroomCare therefore does not forget the more managerial aspects, always with a view to saving time and costs and ease of use that does not require specialized personnel from institutions.
