How to return to safely the classroom: step 3 – Protect ocular well-being with Eye Care technology. BenQ ClassroomCare interactive touch displays, in addition to offering interesting new features for the Educational sector, boast Eye Care technology, which protects the eyes from vision problems related to the use of the monitor.
Interactivity and the ability to work in a “hybrid” key, in presence and remotely, are characteristics that are now established in the school. The BenQ proposal is called ClassroomCare, 4K UHD interactive monitors designed for all levels of education (primary, secondary and higher) and characterized by a series of solutions that make them a very interesting choice both from technological point of view (quality of image, connectivity and software on board) and for the management of health problems, with technologies explicitly designed for the well-being of those who use displays and for the prevention of infections.
Today we talk about the Eye-Care solution, which BenQ ClassroomCare monitors are equipped with, which incorporates several technologies dedicated to protecting the eyes and offering the user a clear and comfortable image. Through simple settings, the displays are able to detect the amount of ambient light to automatically adjust brightness, in order to ensure the highest degree of visual comfort. But Eye-Care doesn’t just improve vision. The solution is designed above all to protect users’ eyes from the unpleasant consequences associated with intensive use of displays. For example, since violet and blue radiation are harmful to the eyes, Low Blue Light technology filters out blue light, automatically reducing eye fatigue and irritation. Even flickering, when looking at a monitor for a few hours, can be a problem: in 8 hours, for example, the eyes can perceive up to 5.8 million flickers, causing eye strain. BenQ‘s Flicker-Free technology, certified by TÜV Rheinland, eliminates the root cause of monitor flickering.
As part of the ClassroomCare technology, the RM series, consisting of the 55″, 65″, 75″ and 86″ models, also offers some interesting innovations: from the EZWrite 5 software, which allows cross-platform annotation to develop collaboration potential of the monitors, to the AMS (Account Management System), with which teachers are able to easily access the teaching material on the cloud.
Just cloud is the key word: the EZWrite 5 software, in fact, makes sure that the interactive whiteboard operates in the cloud, and allows teachers and students to share notes and comments regardless of where they are, perfect option in case of “hybrid” class with some students in presence and others connected remotely.
Again to simplify the work of teachers, here is InstaShare, software already integrated in the RM series displays and designed to control both the display’s touchscreen and mirroring, in a bidirectional way. Furthermore, the screen can be split to allow up to nine students to interact interactively from anywhere in the room and even remotely if necessary.
