An emerging, lively market that is just mature enough to become the scene of AVIXA’s new global event. From 15 to 17 May 2019, the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) will host the first edition of InfoComm Southeast Asia, transforming the Thai capital into the new focal point of southeast Asia for the latest AV technologies and the most innovative integrated user experiences.
The region composed of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, ranked by Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) among the top ten world economies, seems ready to take off, positioning itself as fourth in the top ten by 2050. If we add AVIXA’s rosy forecasts into the mix, which estimate growth of 35% for the Pro AV market in East Asia between 2016 and 2022 in the report AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis Asia-Pacific, it is only natural that the association would find Bangkok as an ideal destination for expanding the family of InfoComm shows, as CEO David Labuskes confirmed: “AVIXA is always at work evaluating the potential of emerging markets, supporting them with resources and specific events. Falling under this mission is the decision to launch a fair in Southeast Asia with a new platform for becoming familiar with technologies, best practices and the thoughts of qualified experts of this AV world in constant flux.
With the addition of InfoComm Southeast Asia and four active shows in the Asia-Pacific territory (don’t forget the other well-established appointments with Beijing InfoComm China, Chengdu InfoComm China and InfoComm India), we confirm the success of AVIXA’s rebranding in order to better respond to the needs of integration and complete experiences for end users indicated in recent years by the AV market.
In anticipation of experiencing the Thai event live, as always here at Connessioni we will be first in line to share details about the program and business opportunities for Italian companies with you.
