Store Optimization Suite and Loss Prevention Suite are the new Axis retail solutions, also realized thanks to the acquisition of Cognimatics, a video analysis industry whose applications have been integrated into Axis network cameras as well as in dedicated audio and access control devices
The new retail solutions will be marketed only under Axis brand, but they are also the result of the acquisition of Cognimatics – a company with which Axis has worked for a long time: Store Optimization Suite and Loss Prevention Suite, respectively dedicated to optimize sales outlets, understanding clients and increasing profits, and to prevent losses by fighting thefts.
“The traditional retail outlets” – says Johan Åkesson, Director of Business Development Retail, Axis Communications – “operate in a more competitive environment than ever. With these new solutions, we want to offer physical sales points the same commercial information used by online sellers.”
In the sales optimization solution, Axis network cameras and audio devices, coupled with commercial information and analysis software, provide precision in counting people, age and gender detection, as well as shop occupation and people on hold monitoring. Information is collected in complete, tailor-made, cloud-compiled reports that can be viewed with applications for computers and mobile devices. The solution aims to improve customer experience and sales opportunities through dynamic staff management, exhibitor information and shop listings.
Axis Loss Prevention Suite, on the other hand, is a leak prevention solution: Axis network cameras, access controllers and video door stations work in synergy with analytic software to report real-time problems and allow immediate action, for example when a shoplifter comes out of unauthorized access or enters with the incoming staff. There is also a random selection procedure without profiling.
