The announcement comes from AGMultivision, the Italian distributor of the Avocor brand: a collaboration started between Avocor and Microsoft for the creation of a new category of advanced displays for collaboration.
Avocor, a well-known manufacturer of interactive display solutions for collaboration, is working on developing a new range of Windows displays that feature highly advanced touchscreen technologies to improve collaboration and group work. The new displays are natively compatible with Windows 10 and aim to bring the features of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams in the meeting rooms, offering new ways to connect, collaborate, reach and share results.
Today, in fact, more and more companies base their work on the culture of collaboration and on the team, an environment in which creativity and productivity grow and develop. In the modern working environment there are teams of all sizes and characteristics, with local presence or widespread throughout the world. For a good team work, tools are needed that allow people to seamlessly connect even in small spaces. The new Avocor touchscreens with 4K resolution and twenty simultaneous touches aim to provide robust pen and inking capabilities, enabling people to easily use Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, from Windows and Office to Microsoft Whiteboard and Microsoft Teams. In short, it is a line of displays born in Windows environment, complete with integrated cameras, stereo speakers, wide-range microphones and a pen tool. Quick and easy connection to any Windows 10 PC is guaranteed through a single USB-C cable, also very interesting are the built-in sensors designed to connect with Azure IoT, so that the facility managers can use the environmental data collected to make decisions in real time.
The first Avocor F-6550 model, an interactive display with inking and touch functionality, has already been presented at the Infocomm 2018 in Las Vegas, at the Microsoft booth as well as at the Avocor booth. Prices, dimensions and availability of the displays will be announced during the summer.
