The collaboration between ATEN and Valens Semiconductor leads to an enhancement of immersive experiences of exposure and mapping of projections, thanks to the Valens HDBaseT technology, as demonstrated by the projects for the Global Leader Exhibition Hub.
When the world of ATEN, made up of KVM and AV/IT management and connectivity solutions, meets the world of Valens Semiconductor, a leading company in high-speed connectivity solutions for the audiovisual and automotive markets, the result is engaging exhibitions held in Worldwide. In fact, using Valens Semiconductor’s chipsets that implement HDBaseT technology, ATEN’s professional audiovisual equipment (ProAV) allows video players, extenders and projectors to connect and communicate with each other smoothly and reliably, creating perfect immersive experiences that can to transport visitors inside famous paintings as well as back in time to the Jurassic!
The installation for the Global Leader Exhibition Hub consists of three 360° immersive rooms, with internally covered walls – from floor to ceiling – with audiovisual signals that surround visitors and envelop them in animations and sounds capable of reviving the worlds of artists famous as Van Gogh and Monet, as well as making the presence of Jurassic dinosaurs felt. But that’s not all: the system also has the simplicity necessary to make it suitable for traveling. The exhibitions, in fact, have been set up in different cities, and are from time to time disassembled and reassembled in different locations, but with the same audiovisual quality.
At the basis of the ambitious project, the high quality A/V distribution via HDMI and HDBaseT is guaranteed by the ATEN VE811T extender, which allowed the high resolution transmission, with zero latency, necessary to obtain the maximum possible immersion.
Very briefly, here are the main advantages of ATEN HDBaseT solutions built using Valens Semiconductor products:
– Support 4K video and Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS HD audio;
– Ability to transmit audio and video up to 100 meters over a single Cat 5e/6/6a cable for simplified setup and AV distribution;
– Intuitive and user-centered design. ATEN HDBaseT HDMI extenders are plug and play products and allow you to manage installations even from a distance;
– Standardized installation and communication between devices. Thanks to the HDBaseT protocol, ATEN video extenders can easily communicate with video players and projectors, regardless of the configuration chosen.
“It was fantastic to partner with HDBaseT Alliance founding member Valens Semiconductor for engaging exhibits”, said Nicholas Lin, senior vice president of research and development at ATEN. “ATEN has already developed more than thirty HDBaseT-based products, enhancing the next generation of professional audiovisual products and creating smooth, seamless user experiences. ATEN’s A/V equipment allows video players, extenders and projectors to connect and communicate with each other in an interoperable way using the HDBaseT protocol, perfect for immersive exhibits. We are simplifying the implementation of projection mapping procedures with high quality plug and play functionality, allowing the market to fully realize all the potential inherent in these fascinating productions.”
He was echoed by Gabi Shriki, SVP and Head of Audiovisual Business at Valens Semiconductor: “It’s no coincidence that ATEN has been selected for such a high-performance, high-profile line of projects”, he said. “ATEN is known for its impeccable quality and has used our chipsets around the world, across a broad spectrum of verticals and for applications such as education, medicine, control centers and more.”
