The arrival of Marco Bolzonello to the company as sales manager for Italy, flanked by Maurizio Cucchi for the exquisitely technical part, marks a real restart for ATEN
In spite of the unprecedented lockdown, which paralysed all activities, not only in Italy, ATEN is in full swing, inaugurating the new team for activities in Italy: Marco Bolzonello is the new sales manager for our country, flanked by Maurizio Cucchi for the technical part of the product; the two ‘new purchases’ of the ATEN team will collaborate closely in the development of the projects (especially with high-end products) and in the opening of new market branches for the company.
Taking office in mid-February, Marco Bolzonello immediately had to deal with the need for closure to overcome the Coronavirus emergency, but not all will bring harm: “We will take advantage of this period to better organise our future demo activities and product presentation, with the added value of our Milan Demo Training Centre”, he told us in a telephone interview. The Demo Training Centre is one of the prides of ATEN in Milan: a perfectly equipped location for product demonstration activities and training sessions, with five ‘scenarios’ constantly available and accompanied by the latest news for demonstrations on request, available to visitors: Sale control, IT management, Conference, AV over IP and AV signal distribution.
Connessioni – What will your new assignments with ATEN be?
Marco Bolzonello – I started working at ATEN just over a month ago as sales manager for Italy. I will deal with business development, technical-commercial support for customers, management of project offers … in short, all the activities that fall under Account Management, with 360 ° customer management. Maurizio, with his specific background, supports me for advanced technical support, so he will mainly deal with technical requests, but also with configurations and projects with high-end equipment, as well as with order management in a Smart way, thanks to his background. I would also like to thank Luca Enea Spilimbergo, who has played the role of technical-commercial contact for Italy in recent years and who has left us legacy with excellent contacts with customers and penetration in the local market.
Maurizio Cucchi – I joined in September 2019. Previously I have always dealt with technical support for various companies in different sectors. With ATEN I put my first experience in professional A / V on my resume, it’s a jump that I really wanted to make. Since Marco arrived, I have been able to get back into my specific role a little more, we integrate very well, I more on a technical level, and he definitely being more suited to the commercial. And indeed Marco Bolzonello, with many years of experience in the field – among many, four years of work for an important company in the sector stand out – and studies at the Master level in International Business and Management Engineering / Computer Science, carried out in Italy but perfected abroad with an important study and work experience in Riga, Latvia, he stands as a particularly qualified figure to bring new ideas and new impulses to the staff of ATEN.
C – Do you already have ideas for expanding the market and the company’s range of action?
MB – The Demo Training Centre for us is a plus that should be highlighted. We have the possibility to manage training and technical-commercial sessions, both with our partners and with dealers, installers and System Integrators. Immediately, we intend to continue with the sectors in which we are already very present, such as A / V, Digital Signage, IT and home automation. Looking ahead, we would also like to approach Green Energy, offering products in line with environmental protection policies and increasingly proposing ourselves as a solution provider for the Educational sector, where A / V and IT are increasingly converging. Then there are sectors such as naval and aerospace, in which we are already present, but we could further implement our offer. The SOHO solutions are also extremely topical, a category of products where ATEN is able to offer optimal solutions for Smart Working.
MC – Yes, there are many possibilities and initiatives without forgetting the KVM part, which has always been the company’s workhorse. In our Demo Training centre the main application channels of ATEN solutions are represented, and I would emphasise the Meeting Rooms. Finally, the opening to streaming activities will be interesting thanks to the new StreamLive UC9600. Among other things, I would also insist on the expansion of 4K, already represented by many products but, in perspective, implementable on many others. We are also preparing a calendar of online activities, alongside those in the Demo Training Centre, which will resume as soon as possible.
