The summer of ATEN is in the sign of the extenders: two new 4K Display Port KVM over IP models were presented.
KE9950 and KE9952 are the ATEN news for summer 2019: they are 4K Display Port KVM over IP extenders characterized by unlimited scalability, and capable of handling signals up to 3840×2160@30Hz. Many features are common to the two products: the videowall function, for example, covers up to 64 displays, switching is fast and low latency, the video signal can be controlled both on local and remote units. In addition, both models feature the virtual KVM matrix function on LAN, including CCKM Matrix Manager Lite software, and redundancy on power and network, to increase the security of use.
The KE9952 model also has PoE power, which further reduces the need for wiring, and supports – like KE9950 – Display Port video with resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz (4: 4: 4) and 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz (4: 2: 0), with 36-bit color depth. The two products also support the connection via Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) or SFP for failover or for access from two IP addresses, in addition to 1 Gbps SFP fiber module expansions up to 10 km.
Also interesting is ATEN’s KVM over IP matrix system, which combines KVM over IP extenders with KE matrix management software (CCKM) to extend, control, monitor and access computers with DisplayPort/HDMI/DVI interface via an independent network with flexible configurations. Over IP solutions allow operators to be independent of servers, making remote access and central server management easier.
