Here is the Integrated Systems Europe 2021 press release that the whole AV world has been waiting for: Online registration is open for visitors to the event, which will make its #LiveandOnline debut at Fira de Barcelona from 1st to the 4th June.
After the move of InfoComm and the timely reassurances of Mike Blackman, the worried souls of the AV world have calmed down. But from Thursday 10th February, with the opening of visitor registrations, we feel more certain that ISE 2021 will take place. Or at least that is the intention!
In any case, it will be a different ISE 2021, for the first time in a hybrid format: in attendance, for those in Barcelona and online, to follow the event from anywhere in the world. “People rely on ISE for inspiration, to find new suppliers, to keep up with industry innovations, to build lasting relationships and to train.” explains Blackman. “ISE 2021 will be a little different but it will still offer all these opportunities, we can’t wait to reconnect with you.”
Barcelona in complete safety
To ensure the running of the event and response to all safety needs for exhibitors and visitors, the organisers of ISE have worked closely with Spanish and international competent authorities. The Fira de Barcelona has received the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp, for the prevention protocol against the transmission of COVID-19, from the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC). The security measures have been developed with the risk management consultancy Aon and the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. For visitors, ISE has recently published A Guide to Safe Visiting, available on the show website, which outlines the safety protocols in place at the Catalan location.
The News of ISE 2021
Preparations are also in full swing from a content point of view. Nine technology zones dedicated to the technologies of the moment, four days of meetings and debates, world-class speakers, professional development programmes, and new high-quality demo rooms will animated this global appointment.
Let’s start with the technology zones: in addition to Audio, Digital Signage and DOOH, Education Technology, Residential, Smart Building, Unified Communications and VR / AR / XR, there will be a technological area dedicated to broadcasting and content creation. Solutions such as cameras, microphones, audio consoles, video interfaces, processors and KVM switches will be shown here. There will also be an area dedicated to live events, linked to lighting and lighting control, assembly and set-up equipment, motion detection and holography, for both small rooms and large events.
On the conference front, there are four days of intense activity on ‘hot’ topics such as Digital Signage, Smart Buildings, XR, Control Rooms, technologies for learning and the workplace, with the participation of experts from around the world. The Next Web, already in contact with ISE for the organisation of the monthly RISE Spotlight webinars, will enrich the four days with interesting keynotes, while TNW and ACCIÓ, the Catalan agency for business development, will set up an area dedicated to innovative start-ups. For the first time, ISE will also host an event dedicated to AV technology in the marine sector with a two-day Superyacht Technology Conference. The new AV Experience Zone will also be interesting, which is in collaboration with AVIXA, designed to bring Spanish integrators and end customers together.
Therefore, it will definitely not be lacking in optimism and the desire to start over. ISE is spending great energy and resources to create an engaging and above all safe event. It is impossible to deny that we are experiencing a period of uncertainty, in which nothing is final, but we like to think that we will meet in Barcelona in June, either in person or remotely, to participate in the most important event for the AV world.
