AGMULTIVISION announced the availability in its catalog of eight new Hall Research products for the management of video, audio and USB 3.0 and 3.1 data
Hall Research, a well-known US company that produces devices and professional solutions for the management of video, audio and data signals, distributed exclusively in Italy by AGMULTIVISION, has recently introduced eight new products for the most demanding applications of extension, distribution, control and signal amplification. Let’s see them in a quick, but exhaustive “roundup.”
Let’s start with VERSA-4K: designed for digital signage applications (also interactive), KVM extension, virtual matrix, USB extension on LAN, which allows to extend and transfer more USB data streams and HDMI video to a virtually unlimited number of receivers on a Gigabit network. Furthermore, it’s possible to extend digital audio signals, bidirectional IR, RS-232 and analog stereo audio. Advanced features include video and audio with low latency, CEC and Serial over IP for control functionality, video wall processor to expand and split 4K video on multiple screens, image rotation and flip (horizontal and vertical), automatic KVM switching, Telnet and WebGUI control, Dynamic Virtual Matrix (DVM) and PoE support. The product has a free PC software with a graphical interface for easy installation and configuration.
UHB-SW2, on the other hand, is a double wall transmitter and a low profile receiver kit with power supply. The system uses HDBaseT 2.0 protocol to obtain a high reliability signal extension, and can transmit the HDMI signal on Cat-6/6a/7 cables at a distance up to 36,5 meters with 4K@60Hz resolution (4: 4: 4) or up to 67 meters with 1080p60Hz resolution.
And let’s move on to U3CAT6 is a kit extender composed of two units: U3CAT6-L and U3CAT6-R, used to extend USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gigabit LAN signals at a maximum distance of 100 meters on a single Cat-6a or Cat-7 cable.
SC-HD-2B is instead a scaler and video processor capable of converting any HDMI resolution into a user-specific output resolution, accepting virtually all PC and HDTV resolutions, including 4Kx2K at 60Hz with 4: 4: 4 color sampling. Ideal for 3-D teleprompting, back-projection or semi-holographic applications, the SC-HD-2B has an OSD menu for image configuration, system information and other advanced options.
And here is HD-AUD-IO, a new audio embedder and de-embedder that provides an HDMI input/output. The product also has two audio inputs (analog and digital). Users can select which audio to incorporate into the HDMI output: the audio of the original HDMI signal (pass-through), the SPDIF digital signal or the analog 3.5mm L/R.
The new EM-HD-NCP instead has the characteristic of behaving like an HDMI monitor emulating the EDID of a typical HDMI LCD display. By connecting the laptop’s HDMI output to an HDMI switch, the laptop will detect disconnection from that input by interrupting video output, especially if the laptop is used in extended desktop mode. It’s therefore possible to use EM-HD-NCP to “trick” the computer into detecting that it’s connected to a monitor, regardless of the input selected on the HDMI switch.
We conclude with the CUSB3-AP cables, which are part of the Hall Research’s Javelin family of active optical fiber cables and can be used to extend Super-Speed USB 3.0 signals (USB 3.1 Gen1) with a data transmission speed of up to 5 Gbps. Available in standard lengths of 15,30 and 50 meters, CUSB3-AP cables are compatible with practically all USB 3.0 and 3.1 Gen1 devices and are ideal for extending 4K video conferencing camera signals, video capture, docking stations and other types high-speed data communications.
And finally, the AMP-7040 is a 40 W power amplifier (Class D) with outputs capable of driving 70V or 100V audio systems (selectable by the user). It has two stereo inputs (3,5 mm jack for line input and 2 RCA for L&R), a digital input and a balanced MIC input. The very flexible design of the AMP-7040 allows the use of dynamic or condenser microphones with control options such as ducking audio, EQ control, MIC mixer and more, all via RS-232.
