A year of Living Now is celebrated at BTicino

Living Now, simultaneously presented to 10.000 installers with a streaming event in cinemas throughout Italy in June 2018, celebrates its first year: a year of undeniable success, for this renewed line for design home automation.
First of all, the innovative design, technical quality and ease of installation have been appreciated by Living Now. Certainly the success of the line was also favored by the possibility of installation in the normal flush-mounted box, which allowed professionals, installation and construction companies to prepare the systems with the usual methods and materials. In fact, there are more than 15.000 plants built with Living Now with Netatmo.
Living Now, despite using the standard installation methods, however, allows the creation of smart, innovative systems with advanced functions that do not require configuration: the self-installing App puts advanced home automation immediately at the user’s disposal.

Living Now with Netatmo has also been successful in light or partial renovation: by not distorting the usual methods of wiring, it makes it possible to upgrade the systems using existing conductors, without building works. In short, with small interventions, it is possible to renew the plant, enhancing the property and offering smart functions otherwise unavailable.
Moreover, the Living Now system is expanding. BTicino, in fact, acknowledging the requests coming in real time from the market, aims to offer answers quickly, making new solutions and new services available. In the latest edition of the Living Now catalog, some new items have already been included, starting from the double non-interlocked buttons with relevant covers, ringers, buzzers and out-of-door 12V bells. Other devices will be available soon.

Already during this first year, also many functions of the App Home + Control have been implemented, with improvements in the interface and performance. Among the major innovations the management of roller shutters (blinds or curtains) that can now stop, through a virtual cursor, at the required level, and the compatibility with the IFTTT (If This Then That) cloud service to create scenarios and automatisms between connected objects. For example: “When I’m at a hundred meters from home, raise all the shutters.” IFTTT is in practice the first true universal language for the IoT, to make connected elements of different manufacturers interact with each other, allowing them to decide what must happen and when.

Finally, Living Now was also used in MyHome_Up home automation systems, when the need for automation is greater. As requested by the market, it’s now possible to manage MyHome_Up systems through the voice assistants of Google Home and Amazon Alexa, also thanks to the Amazon Alexa assistant integrated into the Living Now aesthetic. Living Now is presented today, however, with a new capacitive control without plate with customizable LED icons with the MyHome_Up App. Furthermore, the system is already open to third parties through a library of new APIs (Application Programming Interface). And therefore, also from our side, a wish for a happy birthday and new successes to this innovative, fascinating line!
