Gamification is a term that has recently entered our vocabulary: through the translation into a game, and often into a video game, of mechanisms that simulate immersive situations, players’ responses to the proposed situations will be meaningful of their approach, behavior, learning, etc.
The game represents an extremely effective tool capable of conveying messages of various types, depending on the needs, and inducing active behavior on the part of the user, allowing specific goals, personal or business, to be achieved. At the center of this approach should always be placed the user and his or her active involvement. Through gaming one can improve and make customer management more pleasant, consolidate loyalty to a brand, help employees in learning processes. Who among us has not experienced this?
Some are going even further: the crowdfounding campaign of Game2Value, a start up that through gaming seeks to “heal” the misalignment between methods and language that occurs between the younger generation and the customs and techniques of personnel selection and training of companies, has recently started. The start-up uses simulated contexts (the video game) and, through an immersive story, allows a direct observation of how people behave, interact and apply their skills within an environment, whose variables are defined and equal for all. This method generates a predictive degree of analysis, both in terms of behaviors and skills applied to situations very similar to work situations.
Through this tool, companies will thus be able to achieve their goals and better dialogue with employees, retain young talent, virtuously choose candidates for new positions, etc. We should not be surprised by this, since play is the first human behavior!
