Yesterday, Connessioni celebrated the conclusion of its Smart Environments Roadshow right in its home city, with an edition full of great surprises
It’s true, Florence is not an easy city, but in this case, she showed herself to be truly kind: right here, focusing on the pair of art and technology, we organized the final stop (at least for now) of the roadshow that, since December 2016, brought us to Frosinone, Genoa, Rimini and Bari in front of over 200 professionals. Once again, our objective was to gather the topics of systems integration and professional end users (architects, engineers, periti (experts), IT Managers, designers, etc.) “around the same table.”
The study day took place in the rooms of the Opera del Duomo, right in the heart of Florence overlooking the Baptistery, with a program dedicated to multimedia: after an introduction on how to design “smart environments,” from huddle rooms to university classrooms, there followed a succession of practical presentations on solutions and case studies by the companies that sponsored the tour. The audience, with a peak attendance in the room of over 60 people, proved to be attentive and curious, which gives high hopes for positive interaction between these two worlds.
Now that we have arrived at the end of the roadshow, our reflections are many and instinctive: of course, it was not easy to speak to an unusual target and facilitate the meeting of two worlds that, in spite of everything, often still don’t speak the same language. We believe, however, that it was important: first of all, for creating information about our technologies and about this “upstream” market, that is, for professionals that (very frequently) then become the clients of systems integrators, technicians, etc.; it was thus a way to foster competence and reciprocal knowledge right at the source (if we can put it that way). Furthermore, in observing the progressive convergence of the worlds of AV and IT, and how much end users in general play a part in large projects, it is a way to work on the future of the entire sector—and we don’t believe this is an exaggeration.
Thanks to all the companies that believed in this prospect and sponsored us in the project: Aten (Luca Enea-Spilimnergo), Casio (Davide Moretti), K-array (Andrea Torelli and Daniele Mochi), Lightware (Adriano D’Alessio), Lindy (Paola Dengo and Fabio Fiorito), Leading Technolgies (Mauro Lavazza), Ligra (Raffaele Losi) and Prase Media Technologies (Sofia Boer and Luca Battistelli). Thanks also, of course, to Stefano Cavese and Donato Masci, our keynote speakers that supported us and gave us the right suggestions regarding topics and programs.
We will be back in the fall, with new topics and new cities!
