Looking at things from a different perspective, we can say that Covid brought us many new features. Among these, certainly the “Connected” edition of InfoComm, AVIXA’s annual show for the North American market, which today will debut on a proprietary platform.
Visitors will find everything they usually search for at in a show: content, networking, exhibitors and products, and even fun. We asked Joé Lloyd, AVIXA Senior Director Communications AVIXA, to tell us why and how InfoComm Connected was born.
“We simply could not imagine a year without InfoComm – Lloys says-. While we were cognizant of making the best decision for our members, participants and staff to cancel the physical show, significant interest from our customers helped us to quickly launch InfoComm 2020 Connected – a virtual online experience bringing both buyer and seller together for a unique trade show experience. We understand that a digital experience will never replace a face-to-face one, but participants can still expect to peruse through exhibitors’ showcases and virtual booths, see hundreds of products, and truly connect in a meaningful way. We have a packed schedule with over 70 education sessions for attendees to choose from that covers everything from live exhibitor presentations and other live presentations, OnDemand videos, panel discussions and Q&A with industry experts, industry updates discussing challenges amidst COVID-19, New Tech Lighting Rounds and so much more. There are special events such as the AVX awards winners panel, a trivia night, the AVIXA Foundation Virtual 5K and the AVIXA Women’s Breakfast”.
This year, with the benefit of a virtual event, we have content programmed for a global audience, with event hours beginning as early as 6:00 AM EDT through 10:00 PM EDT (from 12 am to 4 am CEST, the European Time). We have content programmed in different languages including English, Deutsch, Spanish French and Italian. In additional to the three full days of content, the platform and access to all exhibitors and content will remain active through August 21.
