While waiting for the numbers on ISE attendance, although the glance has already confirmed the great success of the 2023 edition, we tell you about the very pleasant “coffee and chat” of the AVIXA Women Council, which took place yesterday morning in a very sharing atmosphere
It is still early for numbers: usually on the last day of the fair the attendance at the event is announced, but at the time we are writing this editorial the statistics have not yet been released. However, it is not hard to imagine that ISE 2023 attendance will exceed not only forecasts but also the highest expectations.
While waiting for the fateful announcement, we would like to devote this space to a small but significant event, which we hope will be just the beginning of an adventure that will involve more and more people. Yesterday morning the Italian AVIXA Women Council met, an initial nucleus of female professionals working in the field interested in getting together, comparing notes and perhaps supporting each other. In addition to those who are members, others and other guests joined the breakfast to get to know each other and informally share some thoughts, insights and ideas.
Between a cup of coffee and a croissant, the participants (but there was no shortage of males interested in the topic) spontaneously shared the reasons that led them to participate: for some, it was the simple curiosity of getting to know each other in an industry with a large male majority, for others it was an opportunity to tell something about being a woman in this sector. From a reflection on “kindness”-an aspect that we tend to recognize as feminine-as a way of operating and addressing others, even in one’s professional role, to fears of externalizing one’s reality as a mother for fear of being penalized. What emerged was a great time of sharing, with many insights into activities to be implemented in the near future, for and with the presence of women in the world of Integration.
