On 19 and 20 December 2019, Link and ETC Italia will open the doors of their new headquarters, also offering a complete overview of products and solutions.
The leitmotiv of the two Open Days organized by Link and ETC Italia for December 19th and 20th will be the integration of audio video and light controls and signals enabled by new technologies, with greater flexibility and optimization of set-up times. The synergies between Link and ETC offer innumerable possibilities of integration, applied in projects on the national and international scene.
There will be several brands present with their products and their solutions: starting with Auvitran and Extreme Networks, ending with the latest generation optical fiber connectivity methods and the innovative Augment3d programming platform from ETC which, with the implementation of a new 3D environment integrated in the EOS software and EOS apps for iOS and Android devices, simplifies set up operations, thanks to the use of augmented reality.
The Link systems supply power and control to all the fixtures present, optimizing the distribution: the LKS Data connector carries the six electric circuits of a Socapex type connector and a Gigabit connection, or four DMX universes, in the same cable. The audio is managed with an Auvitran system that integrates different protocols together. The GPI/O commands, interfaced with lighting consoles and ETC architectural control systems, allow automation and remote control Cue list. Auvitran is the new brand exclusively distributed by Link for Italy, with a wide range of products and audio interfaces for analog and digital signals that manage and combine Dante, MADI, AES67, AVB and Ethersound.
Extreme Networks switches are designed instead to manage any network or protocol. Extreme Networks is actively involved in the protocols that the entertainment world needs to manage and has been producing certified switches for the AVB protocol for years, offering different product categories to meet all needs: from small stage switching to data center, with fiber connections at 10G already in the entry level versions.
Finally, focus also on fiber optic connections, which have now become the common denominator for audio, video, lighting and data transport in the entertainment world. In the demo room set up by Link and ETC Italia there will be configurations with traditional connectors (such as LC and SC breakout), with expanded beam (HMA) connectors, opticalCON, and the new MTs, which integrate 24 fibers in an MPO connector. The novelty is the “Unbreakable” Eurocable fiber (also in hybrid solutions) designed and used by Link for this type of systems. The dates to be marked on the agenda: 19 and 20 December 2019!
