LG at CES in Las Vegas with a new 4K laser projector

The CES of Las Vegas (January 8-11) LG presented the latest version of the Ultra HD 4K laser projector, with UST (Ultra Short Throw) technology.

For LG, the CES of Las Vegas is always an important stage. This year’s edition will see the first generation of the LG Ultra HD 4K laser projectors, with the HU85L model at the center of attention: based on the “Ultra Short Throw” (UST) technology, the new video projector derives directly from the previous 4K model (HU80K) and has already been awarded the CES 2019 Innovation Award. It stands out in particular for its small footprint, compact design and the ability to project very sharp 4K images on any flat surface: walls, floors or ceilings.
Thanks to UST technology, the projector can be placed up to a little more than 5 cm away from a wall to project a 90-inch diagonal image. If positioned at a distance of 17 cm, the projector can reproduce a 120-inch image.

The 4K UHD resolution and the brightness of 2.500 ANSI lumens make the HU85L suitable for many applications, including Home Cinema. The connectivity options offer USB, Ethernet and HDMI inputs.
Finally, the Keystone correction function eliminates image distortion that often characterizes other UST projectors.
“The CES in Las Vegas is the perfect environment to present our new 4K Ultra HD Laser projector”, said Nicola Micali, LG’s Business Solutions Product & Marketing Manager. “The HU85L model, with UST technology, marks a step forward in the expansion path of the 4K line, recently introduced also for the Italian market.”
